AliExpress has announced the new guarantees for sellers and buyers:
- If the parcel is returned to the sender due to the new coronavirus epidemic, in such case Cainiao (Chinese logistics company launched by Alibaba Group) and AliExpress compensate for the delivery cost.
- If the goods are delivered to the destination country and destroyed by that country customs due to the new coronavirus epidemic, AliExpress and Cainiao pay the standard cost of order delivery and the corresponding amount of the cargo declaration (but not exceeding the order amount).
In order to ensure that the new coronavirus epidemic will not affect customer service, the platform will cooparate with Cainiao during the epidemic. AliExpress will work closely with each seller and buyer.
In case the buyer did not receive the parcel due to the new coronavirus epidemic, then after opening the dispute he will get a full refund.
How to find out that the parcel has not passed the customs due to the new coronavirus epidemic?
At the moment none of the countries have instructions for the return or destruction of goods from China. But if such a situation occurs, then AliExpress will receive a notification from that country customs and then will notify sellers and buyers.
Well I have one parcel that was sent by epacket and the tracking says that it is being returned to the sender. I don’t know if this is due to the coronavirus.
