AliExpress Launches International Marketing Blitz for Paris 2024 Games

AliExpress has unveiled its latest global advertisement campaign, “Find Your Sport,” at the Olympic Qualifier Series 2024 in Budapest ahead of the Olympic Games Paris 2024. As the Worldwide Olympic TOP Partner for e-commerce platform services, AliExpress aims to celebrate the spirit of sports and its unifying power through this campaign.

The “Find Your Sport” campaign highlights AliExpress’s role in promoting sports by noting that over 161 million sporting-related goods have been purchased on its platform in the past five years. This initiative showcases the positive impact of sports, both on and off the field, illustrating how sports can empower and inspire individuals through inclusivity and shared experiences.

Albert Zhu, Head of Global Marketing at AliExpress, commented, “We believe this campaign underscores the values of the Olympic Movement by demonstrating the power of sports. This campaign is designed to inspire the sporting dreams and passions of people around the world.”

During the four-day event in Budapest, athletes competed for a chance to qualify for Paris 2024. AliExpress introduced its new campaign at a pop-up during the festival-style event, where visitors to the AliExpress booth could test their skills on a skateboard-themed simulation.

In 2020, AliExpress launched its Olympic Games activation as part of the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) long-term partnership with Alibaba Group, which began in 2017. With consumers in more than 100 countries and regions, AliExpress aims to further the reach of the Olympic Movement and help Olympic stakeholders engage with fans worldwide.

AliExpress continues to invest in its premium service, AliExpress Choice, offering consumers a great selection, speedy shipping, hassle-free returns, and millions in discounts and deals during the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

The highly anticipated 2024 Paris Olympics is expected to generate significant economic benefits, with a potential net income of around 11.1 billion euros. To control costs, 95% of the venues will utilize existing buildings or temporary infrastructure. In addition, many large French companies have become sponsors of the Paris Olympics, with LVMH Group becoming the largest sponsor with a 150 million euro sponsorship fee.

Alibaba International Station’s Special Promotion

Ahead of the Olympics, AlibabaInternational Station will launch a “special promotion” expected to cover more than 15,000 merchants and over one million products. Starting in July, related advertisements will appear in major Paris landmarks such as airports, subways, train stations, and the Champs Elysees, promoting Chinese foreign trade merchants to customers worldwide. This initiative is part of the TOP partner program between Alibaba Group and the International Olympic Committee, which began in 2017. In addition to the Olympics, Ali International Station has also become a B2B e-commerce partner of the European Cup this year.
