AliExpress and Chinese New Year 2024
In anticipation of the Spring Festival, AliExpress has implemented strategic measures to ensure smooth operations during the holiday season. Key areas addressed include parcel delivery, dispute resolution, warehouse operations, and customer service.
- Parcel Delivery: No disruptions will occur for sellers based outside of China who dispatch orders from foreign warehouses.
- Delivery Time: Changes in parcel delivery times are expected during the Chinese New Year. For orders shipped from China between February 5, 2024, 00:00:00, and February 18, 2024, 23:59:59 (US Western Time), delivery times will be extended to 5 days for all countries except the USA. Delivery times to the USA will remain unaffected during the Spring Festival.
- Disputes: From February 8, 2024, 00:00:00, to February 18, 2024, 23:59:59 (Beijing time), dispute negotiation times will be extended by 10 days, from the usual 5 days to 15 days, if the buyer initiates a dispute and requests the seller’s agreement. If the seller is unable to respond during the New Year celebration, AliExpress will automatically intervene in the dispute.
- Order Lead Time: Orders with a standard processing time of 7 days may experience delays until after the holiday period.
AliExpress advises sellers to:
- Proactively inform customers about holiday operations through AliExpress store pages or messages.
- Ensure sufficient stock at foreign and Chinese warehouses.
- Coordinate with suppliers for goods availability and planned deliveries during and after the holidays.
